Executive DAO

Draft

Status: Draft
Version: 0.1.0
Last Updated: 2026-05-16
Owner: Governance Nucleus

Purpose

The Executive DAO is the strategic and executive coordination layer in the current Axodus governance design.

Scope

It covers roadmap alignment, core development coordination, technical prioritization, and operational oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Align core development with governance priorities.
  • Validate roadmap direction.
  • Coordinate high-impact implementation work.
  • Prepare proposals or execution plans for governance review.
  • Support operational continuity.
  • Identify ecosystem-level dependencies.
  • Sponsor high-impact proposals.
  • Communicate strategic context to governance participants.

Governance Touchpoints

The Executive DAO may interact with the Boardroom Council and Community DAO. Final representation, voting rights, and eligibility rules are not yet defined in this documentation.

Decision Types

  • Roadmap alignment
  • Technical prioritization
  • Ecosystem architecture direction
  • Product nucleus coordination
  • Governance upgrade sponsorship
  • High-level resource allocation

Limitations

The Executive DAO should not bypass Boardroom review for risk-sensitive actions, bypass the Community DAO when public legitimacy is required, execute treasury-sensitive actions without required controls, or override constitutional guardrails.

Risk Considerations

The Executive DAO must avoid centralizing unchecked authority. Its decisions should remain auditable and bounded by constitutional, security, and accountability requirements.

Current Status

Final membership, seat count, voting thresholds, and representation model are not confirmed in this document.

Intended Operating Boundary

The Executive DAO is intended to coordinate execution-oriented decisions that have already passed the required constitutional, risk, treasury, or security reviews. Its expected inputs are scoped decisions and unmet execution conditions; its outputs are assignments, status decisions, escalations, or requests for an execution receipt.

It must not originate unrestricted authority, bypass Community or Boardroom routes, self-approve treasury movement, or grant agents autonomous execution. Membership, quorum, signing rights, executable scope, suspension powers, and activation state remain pending formal decisions. Until then, the model is directional and cannot be read as an active executive body.

Released as living documentation for the Axodus ecosystem.
