Purpose

Mining rewards and payouts must be accounted for carefully. Gross rewards are not net profit.

Reward Sources

Sources may include PoW mining, pool rewards, validator rewards, transaction fees, incentive rewards if approved, and promotional rewards if policy allows.

Reward Record Fields

Fields should include reward ID, period, source, network, asset, gross reward, pool fee, validator commission if any, infrastructure cost allocation, energy cost allocation, maintenance cost allocation, treasury fee if any, net amount estimate, payout status, wallet or account reference, and report reference.

Payout Models

Models may include treasury-retained rewards, user share, subscription offset, internal credit, direct wallet payout if approved, and manual review payout.

Payout Fields and Statuses

Payout fields include payout ID, user or treasury reference, reward record IDs, asset, gross amount, fees, net amount, method, destination, minimum threshold, status, transaction reference, timestamp, and report reference.

Statuses may include Accruing, Pending, Approved, Paid, Failed, Held, Disputed, and Expired if policy defines it.

Risk Considerations

Rewards are variable and may be reduced by pool fees, infrastructure costs, energy costs, maintenance, treasury fees, payout thresholds, conversion costs, taxes, and volatility.
