Purpose

Trading may support Axodus financial management and ecosystem revenue, but treasury-related trading must be disciplined, transparent, risk-limited, governance-aware, and reportable.

Scope

This page covers treasury trading objectives, policy components, strategy categories, review requirements, metrics, reporting, and risks.

Objectives

Treasury-aligned Trading may support ecosystem revenue where possible, treasury growth under risk limits, strategy testing before productization, market intelligence, liquidity or market operations if approved, and financial reporting for Governance and Accountability.

Policy Components

Policies should define approved strategy categories, markets, exchanges or protocols, capital allocation limits, leverage policy, drawdown limits, loss limits, profit realization rules if defined, reporting cadence, governance thresholds, emergency pause conditions, custody or account management policy, and responsible operators.

Strategy Categories

Potential categories include market making, arbitrage, trend following, mean reversion, scalping, hedging, and DeFi yield or liquidity. Each category requires risk caveats and review before treasury capital is used.

Review Requirements

Review is required for new live treasury strategies, allocation changes above thresholds, leverage, derivatives, CEX counterparty exposure, DeFi protocol exposure, withdrawal or rebalance policy, major loss events, public performance claims, and revenue distribution policy.

Metrics and Reporting

Reports should include allocated capital, current value, realized and unrealized PnL, net PnL after fees, drawdown, exposure, risk limit status, incidents, governance reference, next review, and limitations.

Risks

Risks include capital loss, concentration, leverage liquidation, exchange counterparty risk, smart contract risk, reporting opacity, and strategy drift.
