Core Principles
CanonicalPurpose
This document defines the principles that guide Axodus documentation and ecosystem design.
Philosophical Position
Axodus exists to build DeFi infrastructure that is transparent, sustainable, modular, and accountable. It rejects opaque financial promises and speculative-only narratives. Governance, education, and risk management are treated as foundational infrastructure, not secondary features.
Principles
- Transparency
- Long-term sustainability
- Governance-first coordination
- DAO autonomy within constitutional limits
- Capital preservation
- Risk-aware product development
- Auditability
- Education before advanced access
- Modular product design
- Public accountability
Why These Principles Matter
DeFi users are often exposed to complex tools without enough education, treasury activity can become opaque, DAO governance can become symbolic, and AI automation can become unsafe without review. Axodus responds by connecting products through constitutional principles, educating users before advanced access, documenting decisions and financial activity, and keeping agents as support systems rather than unchecked authorities.
Economic Principles
- Token utility should come from ecosystem participation.
- Rewards should align with productive behavior.
- Treasury strategies must be risk-managed.
- Trading products must not promise profit.
- Educational incentives should support onboarding and quality participation.
- Marketplace utility should support real consumption.
Governance Principles
- Governance is coordination infrastructure.
- Governance must connect decisions to execution.
- Governance should not be purely symbolic.
- Governance must respect constitutional constraints.
- Local DAOs may have autonomy, but not unlimited authority.
- Federation requires alignment and traceability.
Agent Principles
- Agents are operational support systems.
- Agents can analyze, classify, summarize, challenge, monitor, and suggest.
- Agents must not become unbounded financial or governance authorities.
- Critical decisions require human, technical, security, or governance review.
Documentation Rules
Documentation must avoid hype, guaranteed returns, guaranteed APY, fake deployments, fake partnerships, and unverified final token behavior.
Operational Standard
Axodus should be documented as an ecosystem that earns trust through working products, governed execution, transparent reporting, and clear risk communication.
Critical Invariants
- Clarity over hype.
- Accountability over opacity.
- Governance over uncontrolled execution.
- Education over blind access.
- Sustainability over unsustainable yield.
- Utility over speculation.
- Review over unchecked automation.
- Modularity over monolithic design.
